Finally, Mosimane signs new Al Ahly deal!!!
Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has signed an extension with the club, for a further 2 years, following months of speculation regarding his future.
The former Bafana Bafana coach arrived at Al Ahly in October 2020, following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns and went to Egypt to replace René Weiler.
With Mosimane at the helm, Al Ahly have won back-to-back CAF Champions League titles, two CAF Super Cups, the Egypt Cup, and two Club World Cup bronze medals.
In 83 games, Mosimane’s Al Ahly have won 59, drew 17 and lost 7, with the team scoring 182 goals while conceding 70.
“Based on the great confidence of the club in their head coach Pitso Mosimane and a translation of the many achievements he has achieved during the past period, the club’s board announces the renewal of Mosimane’s contract for two extra years,” reads Al Ahly’s statement.
