Pitso Mosimane has signed a contract extension at Al Ahly, committing his future to the club until 2024.
Mosimane’s previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current season, having joined the Red Devils back in October 2020 after he had resigned as Mamelodi Sundowns coach.

The 57-year-old mentor has enjoyed incredible success at the Egyptian giants since taking over in 2020, and he was the first non-Egyptian African to manage the club.
He will now stay for a further two seasons as he looks to secure more major trophies for the side.
In November 2020, Mosimane led Al Ahly to their 9th Caf Champions League title, after defeating their arch-rivals Zamalek, and qualified to the 2020 Fifa Club World Cup, where they finished in third place, the very same position they managed to obtain in the just-ended 2021 Fifa Club World Cup.
Fast forward, on December 2020, he led the club to the Egyptian Cup triumph, and he did not stop there, as he guided Al Ahly to win the final of the African Super Cup in Doha Qatar, the same title they went on to win again the following year when they defeated Raja Casablanca 6-5 on penalties after a 1-all draw in the regulation time.
On 17 July 2021, the Egyptian side won their second Caf Champions league title under Mosimane and their 10th in total after a 3-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in the final.
He has taken charge of 83 games, won 59, drew 17 and lost 7, having scored 182 goals and conceded 70.
Al Ahly are still continuing to chase for a third successive Champions League title, as they are currently placed second in Group A with four points, just 3 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
