Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has admitted that his call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad came as a surprise.
Bvuma, who has only featured in three games this term for Amakhosi, is a shock inclusion in Bafana’s squad to tackle Guinea and France in friendlies this month in Europe.
“It makes me feel happy. At the same time, I need to work hard because of the opportunity given to me,” said Bvuma.
“For me, being called up to the national team is an achievement I can never stop being excited about.
“Every player wants to play for the national team, especially in my case as I have not been playing. Here I am in the national team. It is all by the grace of God. I get the favour from God and not anyone else.”
Bvuma stated that he is ready to make the most of his call up.
“I have to keep on working hard so I perform when I am given the chance,” he said.
