PSL set to announce their decision on return of fans on Tuesday

The Premier Soccer League executive committee met on Monday to discuss their stance on the government’s decision to allow a 50% capacity at stadiums.

The PSL informed their member clubs last week that the exco would meet today, following the address by President Cyril Ramaphosa regarding the latest amendments relating to public gatherings.

FARPost has been reliably informed that the exco meeting was adjourned and will reconvene tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. A press conference is expected to be held after the meeting to announce the decision.

League action is set to resume this weekend in both the DStv Premiership and GladAfrica Championship upon the completion of the international break.

“The Executive Committee of the League met today (Monday 28 March 2022) to consider the extent to which the League Covid 19 Regulations can or should be adapted to enable the return of spectators to matches. The meeting was adjourned and will reconvene tomorrow morning. A press conference
will be held after the meeting to announce the decision taken,” said the League in a communique to member clubs on Monday.
