Atlético Madrid and Banyana Banyana frontwoman Thembi Kgatlana donated soccer boots to Hollywoodbets Super League outfit University of the Western Cape (UWC) through her foundation.
Each player received a pair of new boots ahead of the 2022 Super League campaign.
The Thembi Kgatlana foundation is focusing on growing to support women footballers in South Africa.
This is not the first time she makes a donation to her former club. In November 2021, the 25-year-old also donated sanitary towels to the whole squad.
“For all the years our founder Thembi Kgatlana spent at UWC she went back with the foundation to give the whole squad of 2022 brand new Soccer Boots,” said the foundation in a statement.
“This is a new branch that the foundation is focusing on growing to support women footballers in the country. Looking forward to yet another successful season by UWC in Hollywoodbets Super League.”
The speedy forward also added: “My Sucess Our Success THEMBI KGATLANA FOUNDATION did an extraordinary thing for UWC women’s 2022 squad. Each player received a pair of new boots. Wishing you all the best for the league. Your smiles warm up my heart!,” read Kgatlana’s tweet.
