Marumo set sights on top eight finish
With five matches remaining before the end of the current season, Limpopo club Marumo Gallants remain optimistic about finishing in the top eight.
Gallants are in 11th position with 30 points, four points below the top eight spot, currently occupied by SuperSport United.
Head coach Dan Malesela believes the team need to start showing that they want to be amongst the top eight teams at the end of the season and not just talk about it.
“Look, we are playing SuperSport United, and if we get the three points against SuperSport, then we can start saying mhhh, this is beginning to look real,” Malesela told journalists in Polokwane.
“We have to get the points; we can not talk about the top eight and not perform to get it,” he said.
Marumo finished 12th last season while still under the name Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).
The club still stand a chance of defending their Nedbank Cup trophy if they win their semifinal encounter, ironically, against TTM set for next weekend.
