Drogba loses bid to become Ivory Coast Federation president

Former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba lost his bid to become the new president of the Ivorian Football Federation.

He finished in third place behind Sory Diabate and Idriss Yacine, who went on to win in the second round of the football presidential elections.

The Chelsea legend retired from professional football in 2018 at the age of 40, having scored 104 Premier League goals for the Blues.

He also played over 100 games for the Ivorian national team and scored 65 goals.
