Nange calls on Chiefs to foster a sense of togetherness against Marumo
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange says his side needs to foster a sense of togetherness in order to restore Amakhosi’s sparkle ahead of the Dstv Premiership clash against Marumo Gallants.
The Glamour Boys will welcome Bahlabane Ba Nthwa to the FNB Stadium this evening with the kick-off scheduled for 19h30.
Chiefs and Gallants last met in September 2021 in Limpopo and both sides shared the spoils following a goalless draw.
The Soweto giants are currently placed fifth on the DStv Premiership log standings with 39 points, whereas Gallants are in position 11 with 31 points. They have each played 26 matches.
Nange believes the team spirit that head coach Arthur Zwane has forged at Chiefs is strong enough to see the side through the crisis that threatens the team’s progress.
“First of all, I would say we are not happy with the recent results and we want to work hard in order to make sure we perform better and grind the results,” said the 30-year-old Limpopo-born.
“I think as a team we need to make sure that we work together and stay positive to get maximum points [three points].
“I know if we do good as a team no matter who we play against we will be able to get fruitful results.
“In our previous game against Cape Town City we created plenty of chances but we couldn’t convert them. I hope we will do better to be clinical enough in our next game against Marumo.”
