Cape Town All-Stars will be tough, warns Kerr

Swallows FC coach Dylan Kerr has warned his side ahead of their first playoff match against Cape Town All-Stars on Wednesday, saying it will be a tough encounter.

Despite a 3-1 defeat to the University of Pretoria on Sunday, Kerr is aware of the threat posed by their opponents.

“It’s going to be tough; it’s an NFD team; we know they are going to bring pressure and make sure we work hard. We have to make sure we manage the ball and play it to our ability,” said Kerr.

“They play differently when they play a PSL team. They try harder, run faster, they are quicker and tackle harder. Against a PSL team, you know what to expect; their attitude changes.”

However, the former TTM coach is optimistic that his charges will come out victorious.

“We got to start positive and win; we are home. We got experienced and good players; we just have to manage the ball better and make sure that mentally we are prepared. I hope we will start converting our chances and score goals; football is all about putting the ball at the back of the net,” he concluded.

The kickoff at Lucas Moripe Stadium is at 15:00.
