Banyana star cuts ties ways with Scottish side

Banyana Banyana striker Ode Fulutudilu has parted ways with Scottish side, Glasgow City.

The 32-year-old has previously played for clubs in South Africa, Finland and Spain, before joining Glasgow in 2021.

She made her debut for Banyana in 2014 and was part of their 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad.

Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, she and her family initially arrived in South Africa as refugees.

“We can confirm that Ode Fulutudilu, Vital Kats, Niamh Farrelly, Julia Molin, Tyler Dodds, Agata Filipa and Mya Bates will be departing the club this summer,” read the club’s statement.

“Everyone at Glasgow City FC would like to place on record their thanks to each and every departing player for their immense contributions to the club, and indeed our history.

“We would also like to wish each departing player the very best of luck in the future as they take the next steps in their careers.”
