Benzema equals Raul’s goal tally

Real Madrid lethal frontman Karim Benzema became the club’s joint second-highest goalscorer of all-time following their 6-0 win over Levante on Thursday.

The Frenchman found the back of the net in the first-half of the contest to match Raul’s 323 goals, thanks Vinicius Junior’s fantastic pass.

As things stand, only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more goals (450) for the Spanish giants.

Meanwhile, Vinicius scored a hat-trick on the the day, with the other two goals coming from Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo.

Real’s victory saw Levante relegated as they needed to win at the Bernabeu and then again in both their last two matches to have any chance of avoiding the chop.

On Benzema, Vinicius added: “I didn’t know he had equalled Raul’s [goals total], he scores so many goals for us and does so many other things for the team.”
