Cameroon beat Comoros to advance to the Afcon quarterfinals

A goal in each half secured the host national a 2-1 win against 10-men Comoros in the last 16 match of the Africa Cup of Nations at Olembe Stadium on Monday.

Karl Ekambi opened the scoring in the 26th minute before Vincent Aboubakar secured the victory 20 minutes to go.

Youssouf M’Changama scored a stunning free-kick got Comoros with nine minutes to go, but it was too little too late.
Cameroon will now face Gambia in the last eight.
