Vasco Da Gama of the Western Cape opened their Sasol National Championships Playoffs campaign with a big win on the Day 2 of the competition at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The Western Cape outfit outclassed Royal Wizards FC from the Northern Cape 8-1.
This is Wizards’ second defeat of the tournament, having suffered a 12-3 deficit to City Lads Ladies yesterday.
In the other result, Tswelelang De’Scorpion from North West were looking for their first three points after securing a point in their opening match yesterday.
However, things did not go according to De’Scorpion’s plan as they lost 2-0 to Croesus Ladies from Gauteng Province.
Meanwhile, in the last fixture of the day, Copperbelt Ladies of Limpopo succumbed to a 4-0 defeat to KwaZulu-Natal’s Lindelani Ladies.
