Egyptian star criticises Turkish FA’s decision to play during fasting hours

Egypt international Ahmed Hassan Kouka condemned the Turkish Football Federation’s decision to continue to stage the Süper Lig matches during fasting hours in Ramadan.

Konyaspor striker says the FA should reconsider their decision as Turkey is a ‘Muslim country’

Kouka scored a goal as his side recently hammered Gaziantep 4-1 in a league clash recently.

After the game Kouka criticized the Turkish FA as the game was played at noon during Ramadan.

The clash between the two teams took place at 2:30 PM local time in Istanbul, Turkey, which is in the middle of fasting hours for Muslims.

“I don’t understand, why did we have to play so early?” he said.

“We are all fasting in Ramadan so why don’t we play at night. It’s a Muslim country, I think they should think about that.”
