Ex-TTM winger eyeing return to topflight football

Nkosinathi Ononogbu is confident that next season he will be playing in either the DStv Premiership or the GladAfrica Championship after he joined North West ABC Motsepe League outfit Black Eagles at the beginning of the 2021/22 season.

The Nigerian-born South African was instrumental in helping his side win the ABC Motsepe League Stream B after finishing first.

“My main focus is getting back on playing football at the PSL or NFD next season; I believe that’s where I belong. I have been there, I’ve the experience, so it won’t be hard to adapt,” Ononogbu told FARPost.

“At this point, I cannot mention the potential clubs or disclose any information. What I can say is my agent knows better. He’s the one taking care of that business. It’s off-season now. I need to rest and regroup so that next season, I’m in the right frame of mind.”

“When everything has been finalised about the move that I will be making, an official statement will be released, which will contain all important details people need to know.”

The 24-year-old revealed that he had settled well at the North-West outfit. “It’s been a difficult season, but I’m happy it’s over now, and we did well. I settled very well when I made my transfer from TS Sporting. The guys were welcoming, and the coaches were good.”
