How Pitso Mosimane fared at Al Ahly

Egyptian giants Al Ahly have announced the departure of Pitso Mosimane after 21 months at the helm.

FARPost looks at how he fared during his tenure as the Cairo giants’ coach.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach oversaw 105 fixtures at Al Ahly, winning 68 matches, drawing 27 and only suffering 10 defeats, translating to a 64.76 winning percentage.

The 57-year-old coach won back-to-back Caf Champions League titles, a domestic league title, the Egyptian Cup and a bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup. He also won the Caf Super Cup.

The Red Devils are currently third on the Egyptian Premier League log standings with 37 points and have four matches in hand as arch-rivals Zamalek hold first place with 44 points after 20 games played.

Last season, they finished second in the league behind their bitter rivals Zamalek.
