How Usuthu plan to hurt ES Sétif in Algeria

AmaZulu captain Makhehleni Makhaula has revealed how Usuthu plan to beat Algerian side ES Sétif away from home in their Caf Champions League Group B clash on Saturday evening (21:00) at the 5th July 1962 Stadium in Algiers.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit has registered back-to-back wins at home in the Champions League against Horoya of Guinea and Sétif to jump into second place in their group with six points, three behind leaders Raja Casablanca.

According to Makhaula, the aim is to catch Sétif via counterattacks as Usuthu expect the wounded Algerians to come out guns blazing following the 1-0 defeat in Durban.

“They’re going to come at us with everything they have. We need to control the tempo of the game. We must avoid conceding an early goal. We aim to hit them on the counter because they’ll be throwing everything forward,” said Makhaula.

“We know that we will create chances as we always do, but we’ve to make sure we convert them. It’s obvious they’ll want revenge. It’s going to be a very difficult game for us.”
