Improved deal on the table for another Downs star

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau looks set to be handed a new, improved package at the club as a reward for his performances, writes Robert Matakanye.

His ingenuity earned the 27-year-old his first Bafana Bafana cap when he featured in a friendly against Guinea in March. Mudau was arguably Bafana’s best player in that match.

In fact, he has been earning plaudits across the country for his showings last season, and it appears that they have also not gone unnoticed by the Brazilians’ management.

Sailor, as he is affectionately known, has established himself as a first-team regular at Sundowns. According to a source close to the Brazilians camp, Sundowns are looking to reward the player for his efforts by offering him a new, improved deal even though he still has three years left on his current contract.

Mudau joined Sundowns two seasons ago from Black Leopards while Lidoda Duvha were still in the DStv Premiership on a five-year deal.
