Dembélé told to leave Barcelona immediately

Barcelona director Mateu Alemany have confirmed that the Spanish giants have told Ousmane Dembélé to leave the club as he’s not committed to their project.

Dembélé will be a free agent at the end of the season and will not sign a contract extension with Barca.

Alemany went on to divulge that the French international will be sold before the 31st of January, citing that the attitude of the winger has become intolerable.

The 24-year-old footballer is linked with a move to the European champions, Chelsea.

“It’s clear that Dembélé does not want to continue with Barcelona. He doesn’t want to be part of our project,” explained Alemany.

“We began negotiations in the month of July approximately with his agent. During these six or seven months we have talked, Barça has made several offers to find a way forward for him to continue with us. These offers have been systematically rejected by his agent.

“We told Dembélé he has to leave immediately. We expect Ousmane to be sold before January 31”.
