Egypt head coach Carlos Queiroz has revealed his strategy to beat Cameroon in the semifinals this evening (21:00) at Olembe Stadium in Yaoundé.
The Pharaohs are among the favourites to clinch the African title following as they have knocked out two giants in the round of 16 and quarterfinals. Egypt beat Ivory Coast in the penalty shootout, and in the quarterfinals, they overcame Morocco 2-1 in a North African derby.
“Words like fear have been erased from our dictionary. In our football dictionary, there is the word respect. We have great respect for Cameroon and their players because they are performing well and scoring goals,” said Queiroz in the pre-match press conference.
“But we are ready. After five matches, I think everything is possible. Our strategy tomorrow is easy; run, run and run, then play, play and play. This is the way we can outplay Cameroon,” concluded the former Bafana Bafana tactician.
The winner will take on Senegal in the final on Sunday.
