Manchester United shot-stopper Dean Henderson has retaliated to the ‘hurtful’ social media rumours that resurfaced over the weekend.
This comes after Henderson’s name was linked with a report in the Sun on Sunday about the Premier League player that had been arrested for an alleged assault on his partner back in 2019.
The English footballer has since strongly denied he is the player involved in the reported incident.
“Can’t believe I’m having to do this but I’d just like to address the rumours that have come to light in the last couple of days,” said the 24-year-old goalie on his official Instagram account.
“There are some sad people in the world that have attached my name to such inappropriate, hurtful and totally false news stories.”
The goal-minder has played five games for the Red Devils in the current campaign.
