Zambia FA announce new Chipolopolo head coach

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) on Tuesday unveiled the new head coach for the Chipolopolo senior national team.

Aljosa Asanovic (56) has now been appointed in the hot sit on a four-year contract.

The Croatian takes over from Milutin Sredojevic who was shown the door in July 2021.

“Aljosa Asanovic has been unveiled as the new head coach of the Zambia National Team. The Croatian has signed a four-year contract,” announced FAZ on their Twitter page.

The 51-year-old has been part of the Chipolopolo technical team under interim coach Beston Chambeshi last year.

He was the assistant coach of the Croatia national team from 2006 to 2012.

Asanovic has also worked at clubs such as Lokomotiv Moscow, Dunajska Streda and Al-Ittihad.
