Nigeria legend Nwankwo Kanu has tipped the Super Eagles to stake a strong challenge for the Africa Cup of Nations title following their perfect start on Tuesday.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s solitary goal handed Nigeria an excellent start as they beat Mo Salah’s Egypt.
Kanu, who enjoyed a lengthy spell in the English Premiership with Arsenal, believes the Super Eagles’ quest for a fourth title is well on course.
“Well done, boys, that is how we do it. One is gone; the game is coming. That is how we are going to do it, the same way and then winning. The Cup is coming back.”
Nigeria will be hoping to win when they face Sudan on Saturday in another Group D tie, while Egypt will face Guinea-Bissau.
