Kerr claps back at Truter over ‘cheap import’ remarks

Swallows FC coach Dylan Kerr has hit back at former club mentor Brandon Truter who he replaced after calling him a “cheap import” coach following their 1-0 defeat at Dobsonville Stadium in the DStv Premiership match last week.

Kerr, who won his first median domestic cup last season, the Nedbank Cup with Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila after defeating Chippa United 1-0, bragged about winning the silverware on his Twitter account. He seemingly implied that his Swallows predecessor is still searching for his first silverware.

“One year ago, A “cheap foreign import” with two excellent local coaches (against everyone’s expectations) won this beauty & chairman Sello called me yesterday to thank me for bringing the trophy to Limpopo. #iknowwhoiam @robertmarawa @Nedbank @OfficialPSL @SimplyCarol8 #winner,” Kerr posted on his Twitter account.

The 55-year-old is on a mission to save the Dube Birds from the relegation from the South African topflight. Swallows FC are second of the last in the DStv Premiership with 24 points from 28 outings.
