Aston Villa keep tabs on Wijnaldum

Aston Villa have reportedly shown interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum in the upcoming transfer window period, that is according to Sport, via the Sun.

The Netherlands international joined PSG in June 2021 on a three-year deal after the end of his contract with Liverpool.

In October last year, the 31-year-old footballer revealed that he’s “not completely happy” with the opportunities he has found at the Parisians.

Villa have been told that the former Newcastle United man who is contracted until 2024 will cost £21m, as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his midfield options.

Ever since joining the French club, Wijnaldum has managed to play 29 games, found the back of the net on two occasions and weighed in two assists across all competitions.
