Chiefs announce more signings

With the 2022/23 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season looming large, Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signings of Dillan Solomons, Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Lehlogonolo Matlou from Swallows FC and Siyethemba Sithebe from AmaZulu.

Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys officially promoted Mduduzi Shabalala from the Amakhosi’s DStv Diski Challenge Reserve side. The youngster has been rewarded with a senior team contract for three years.

The five players add to the list of Ashley Du Preez and Zitha Kwinika who were confirmed by the club earlier this month. The duo joined the side on three-year deals from Stellenbosch FC.

Solomons, 26, has penned a four-year deal at Naturena. The defender featured in 29 matches for Swallows in the last term and played a significant role in helping The Dube Birds to retain their topflight status.

Mahlatsi, who is an attacking midfielder has signed with Amakhosi until 2025.

Matlou, 23, has signed a two-year contract with an option for a year’s extension. The midfielder completes the trio of players leaving Dylan Kerr’s side for the Soweto giants.

On the other hand, Chiefs finally got their man in the name of Siyethemba Sithebe from AmaZulu on a two-year deal.

It goes without saying that Chiefs management and the technical team have been hard at work to try and bolster their squad for the upcoming new season with the hopes of reclaiming their glory days.

More signings are expected to be unveiled in due course.
