Former Orlando Pirates midfielder joins Maberethe

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Kamohelo Mabuya has joined the North West ABC Motsepe League side, FC Maberethe.

Mabuya made his presence felt at his new club as he scored on his debut when Maberethe got the better of Taung Mega Stars 1-0 on their own turf this past weekend.

The 33-year-old footballer previously played for Bloemfontein Celtic, Golden Arrows, Roses United, Royal Eagles, African Warriors and Mthatha Bucks.

His immaculate tackling, ability to overground both horizontally and vertically makes him unique. One can say he is as well rounded a midfielder as we have seen him at his previous clubs.

“We are happy to have him at this time of the season. Holaaa!!!,” said the club on their official Facebook page.

As things stand, Maberethe are languishing fourth in Stream B of the Provincial ABC League with 20 points after 10 outings.

The club’s next game will be against Tigane United on Wednesday, 16 February at Montshioa Artificial with the kick-off set for 16h00.
