As expected, it was one-way traffic throughout the 90 minutes with Mamelodi Sundowns cruising to a comfortable 6-0 victory over Mathaithai at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday night.
With the win, Sundowns advance to the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals.
Bradley Ralani opened the scoring early on, tucking away a rebounded shot. Captain Themba Zwane made it 2-0 with a first time finish in the box.
And it could have been a lot worse for Mathaithai as Sundowns missed several good opportunities.
Thabiso Kutumela scored a brace early in the second half with Lebohang Maboe and Andile Jali wrapping up the game.
