Lesiba Ramabula laid to rest
Former Mamelodi Sundowns academy player Lesiba Ramabula was laid to rest in Seshego Limpopo on Sunday morning.
Lesiba passed away on Tuesday afternoon after being struck by lightning.
Hundreds of people gathered at the Ngoako Ramathlodi Sports complex at his home township of Seshego to bid him farewell.
Amongst those who attended was SA Member of Parliament Boy Mamabolo, Polokwane Municipality representatives, as well as the team of officials from his former clubs.
Mamelodi Sundowns supporters coordinator Marshal Kumalo, who was representing the club, has urged his former clubs to launch a football tournament in Lesiba’s honour.
Many speakers described the 21-year-old as a talented star who was destined for greater things.
Ramabula’s career in development football includes stints at Molemole Academy, Mamelodi Sundowns Academy and Limpopo Sports school of excellence.
