Motsoaneng dump Bizana Pondo Chiefs for Sinenkani

Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League outfit Sinenkani FC have announced the addition of the well-travelled coach Tshepo Motsoaneng to the club’s Technical Team.

He joins the side as a co-coach with Vumani Mvundle.

Motsoaneng was currently at the helm of Bizana Pondo Chiefs, having joined the club in November 2021 from Umvoti FC.

The 42-year-old mentor also coached Tornado FC and Buffalo City Municipal (BCM) Stars.

Sinenkani are cruising nicely in the Provincial ABC League as they are top of Stream B table with 20 points, three points ahead of second-placed BCM Stars.

On the other hand, the side will be participating in the 2022 Nedbank Cup edition, where they will lock horns with the GladAfrica Championship side Free State Stars on Saturday, 12 February at home.

“Our performance over the years has seriously impacted in raising the hopes of the supporters and those who are sympathetic to our cause. All these expectations and ambitions have put a lot of pressure on the team to perform. Considering the performance of the team thus far, we are reasonably satisfied with the team performance,” read the club’s statement.

“However, due to the workload that we see ahead of us, we have decided to re-enforce our technical team by bringing in coach Tshepo Motsoaneng to work as co-head coach with coach Vumani Mvundle and the current assistant coaches.

“We strongly believe that the two head coaches will complement one another in helping the team to achieve its ultimate goal of winning the Nedbank Cup and getting promoted to the GladAfrica Championship next season.

“To this end, we wish to thank all our supporters for the support they have given us to motivate our boys to do better both on and off the field.

“Even with this decision, we are confident that our supporters will continue with their immense support and trust the Team Leadership’s decision to take the Stubborn Nation to the promised land.”
