Defender Thendo Mukumela has spoken for the first time since his sensational AmaZulu transfer from Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit, Cape Town Spurs.
Mukumela made 90 appearances for the Urban Warriors across all competitions and weighed in with 17 goals.
The 24-year-old centre-back has represented South Africa at youth level.
Usuthu’s new recruit described his move to the KwaZulu-Natal side as a “great honour”.
“It is a great honour and privilege to play for a club like AmaZulu. Everything has been going well. Our preparations are on track,” said the Mamelodi Sundowns academy graduate.
“I am a bit shaky at times because when you get to a new environment, you must adapt to how they do things and adapt to everything happening there, including the culture.
“But overall, it is good, and once I am fully adapted to the team, I will do well for the team.”
