New addition at Swallows

Swallows have made yet another signing into their squad ahead of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.

This is a third acquisition from the Dube Birds in a space of a week. This comes after the club unveiled former Golden Arrows midfielder Lindokuhle Mtshali on Wednesday.

The club have also completed the signing of Keegan Allan from the Motsepe Foundation Championship Club University of Pretoria on a two-year deal with an option to extend for another campaign.

On Thursday, swallows announced the signing of former Stellenbosch striker Waseem Isaacs. He joins on a two-year deal with an option to renew for another season.

Isaacs parted ways with Stellies at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, with the club revealing that they have opted against renewing his contract.

He scored just once in 19 games and was mostly used as a backup option since the arrival of Judas Moseamedi.

Swallows is expected to unveil a few more signings before the transfer window closes. The Dube Birds have sold a number of players including the likes of Dillon Solomons, Lehlohonolo Matlou and Kamohelo Mahlatsi, all to Kaizer Chiefs.

They have also lost veteran striker Ruzaigh Gamildien who has since joined DStv Premiership club Royal AM alongside Andre Ernest De Jong, Khethukuthula Ndlovu and Samir Nurkovic.

Meanwhile, the club is yet to give an official update on the future of head coach Dylan Kerr. Kerr, who helped the club survive relegation last season, is expected to continue in his role on a permanent basis.

There has been links of former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp taking over the reins. But before his resignation as President of the club, Panyaza Lesufi had hinted that the club will offer Kerr a new contract and were not looking for a new coach.
