Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies continued with their fine form when they defeated Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies 2-0 at Groenkloof Tuks Stadium to consolidate their top spot.
This was Celtic’s first Hollywoodbets Super League loss of the season.
As a result, Banyana Ba Style currently sits on the summit of the log standings with 21 points, just one point ahead of second-placed JVW FC.
There were six other matches played in the Super League midweek fixtures, however, a game between City Lads and Vasco Da Gama was postponed.
JVW returned back to winning ways following their 2-1 win over Thunderbirds Ladies, whereas Tshwane University of Technology failed to take advantage of playing on their own turf and shared the spoils with First Touch FC in a goalless draw.
Meanwhile, the University of Johannesburg had to dig deep to secure a 2-1 win away from home against Durban Ladies.
