SuperSport identify Mbule’s replacement

SuperSport United have reportedly identified a replacement for wantaway midfielder Sipho Mbule. Speculation of the Matsatsantsa academy graduate hit fever pitch this week with the race for signature intensifying.

Mbule is being linked to Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, and it has become more apparent that the Tshwane side will not keep him.

FARPost can reveal that Matsatsantsa are targeting Grant Magerman, who is on loan at Swallows FC from Sundowns. “He [Grant Magerman] is a top target for SuperSport. They feel he’s the perfect replacement for Mbule, given his age and qualities. If all goes well, Grant will be at SuperSport after the promotion/relegation playoffs,” said the source.

Mamelodi Sundowns and Supersport United have enjoyed a good working relationship in the transfer market. Most recently, Teboho Mokoena made a move to Downs in the January transfer window, while Sfiso Ngobeni signed for SuperSport at the same time.

It remains to be seen whether the Pretoria outfits will maintain the relationship which will see Megerman, who turns 24 on Friday, join Matsatsantsa.
