Arrows coach vows to fight till the end for top eight

Golden Arrows interim coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi insists they will not leave the province without at least collecting maximum points as their fight for a top-eight position continues.

Arrows have been in Limpopo since their 1-0 defeat by relegation-threatened Baroka on Wednesday evening.

‘Abafana Bes’thende will take on Marumo Gallants in another DStv Premiership fixture on Saturday afternoon at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Vilakazi, who has been steering the ship alongside Mabhudi Khenyeza since the departure of Lehlohonolo Seema, says they can’t afford to leave Limpopo with nothing.

“Yes, a very thin line between us and the top eight,” said Vilakazi. “We will still fight till the end. Unfortunately, we lost (against Baroka), but we can’t go away from Limpopo with nothing. We have to win on Saturday when we face Marumo. Definitely, we have to win, like it or not.”

Arrows are currently at position nine with 35 points from 27 matches. They are a point below SuperSport United, who now occupy the top eight spot.
