Bakgaga please pray for us, pleads Kambala

Baroka midfielder Manuel Kambala has sent a plea to the club’s supporters to put them in their prayers as they go to the most crucial match of the season.

Bakgaga travel to KZN to face Maritzburg United in a must-win DStv Premiership match on Saturday. A defeat will mark the end of the Limpopo club’s status in the topflight.

But a win or draw, depending on other results involving fellow relegation candidates Swallows and TS Galaxy, might save them from the chop.

“We need them (supporters), so all supporters must come there. Those who are around (Durban) must come to the stadium, those who are not must pray for us as Baroka we need you,” Kambala told FARPost.

“Not only the Chairman or players but Baroka as a club, we need your support, we need your prayers, you must pray for us to win the game.”

The 26-year-old adds that everyone at the club knows what is at stake on Saturday.

“We are all ready for this game. We know it’s the last match. We need to give our all because we need the points we need to survive.

“It is a very important game, and I know it is going to be very tough for us. We will show that we need it more.”
