Maritzburg United defender Clayton Daniels has urged his teammates to continue with the same attitude and fighting spirit ahead of their last game against Orlando Pirates on Tuesday to finish the season on a high note.
The 12th-placed Team of Choice, who are in high spirits after their 1-0 win against relegated Baroka, will be eyeing back-to-back wins dating back to September 2021.
“Our preparations for the game are quite normal, like where we left off. I hope that we can finish on a high; it’s the last game of the season against the Orlando Pirates. If we can bring the same attitude, the same fighting spirit that we’ve been showing in our last five games, hopefully, we can get maximum results to finish the season strong,” said Daniels.
“There is a possibility that we finish number 10 so that there is something to play for and put the club in a better position.”
The former SuperSport United defender thanked their loyal fans for the support throughout the season.
“Thank you for your support, we could see how much it means to us, our last home games, they have been there singing for us our performance is speaking up all because of them, and we are grateful as a team for them to come out in their numbers and support us. We are grateful for their support,” he concluded.
