AmaZulu and Stellenbosch could not be separated as they played to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling DStv Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday night.
Usuthu had to come back from behind twice to salvage a point at home.
A right-footed shot from close range by Ashley Du Preez saw Stellies take the lead in the 28th minute.
But AmaZulu hit back a few minutes later as Luvuyo Memela played through a beautiful pass for Matarr Ceesay to squeeze through an equalizer as the first 45 minutes ended 1-all.
It only took 15 minutes for the visitors to restore their lead through Juan Carlos Ortiz Hernandez, who managed to sneak through a slight shot.
However, Thembela Sikhakhane ensured the game ended all square as he scored from the centre of the box.
Stellies moved to third place on the log standings, while Usuthu remain in sixth place.
