Baroka and Orlando Pirates played to a 0-0 draw in a DStv Premiership match at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Even though both clubs were desperate for maximum points, for different reasons, it was not the result that caught the people’s attention.
Defender Paseka Mako has to be taken to a private hospital in Polokwane after colliding with goalkeeper Richard Ofori with 11 minutes remaining.
Mako suffered a concussion which caused panic amongst everyone inside the stadium.
Medical personnel from both clubs had to attend to him while players from both clubs surrounded him.
Minutes later he was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, but play couldn’t continue for long as the referee decided to blow the final whistle.
A decision that was reportedly decided by players from both sides.
Earlier on during the match, play had to be stopped after the floodlights failure for close to three minutes.
