Makhubedu confident Sekhukhune will get goals against Chiefs

Sekhukhune United co-coach MacDonald Makhubedu says their home match against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday in the league is a must-win to boost their chances of finishing in the top eight.

Babina Noko are 10th on the DStv Premiership log, five points shy from eighth-placed SuperSport United with two games left to wrap up the season.

“I think it will be a good game of two teams, but we need points, and we need to win this game to get a chance in the top eight. Everyone is available in our squad; we want to do well in this game,” said Makhubedu.

“It will be a good game, for the fact that we are home gives us an advantage. We not going to let our supporters down; we’re ready.”

The ex-Baroka coach is positive his team will start scoring goals after firing blanks in five consecutive outings resulting in two draws and three defeats, and he is aware of Amakhosi’s recent form.

“We’ve been doing well, very solid, not scoring goals. We missed many chances; I think we’ll convert some of them this week,” he added.

“Chiefs have been in good form; they’ve been unlucky in some games. Last week they played especially last 15-20 minutes against good Sundowns side.”

The kick-off is at 15:00 at Emirates Airline Park.
