Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento has announced his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Last week, this publication reported that Nascimento had parted ways with Sundowns as he had been deregistered to make space for new signing Erwin Saveerda from Bolivia.
Saveerda is registered as one of the five foreign players, with Nascimento now a free agent.
The 35-year-old defender took to social media to bid farewell to the Sundowns faithfuls. “Thanks for the support, Sundowns fans!” he said.

Nascimento is parting ways with the Tshwane giants after spending six years at the club. The centre-back clinched four Premiership titles, a Telkom Knockout title, the Caf Champions League, and Caf Super Cup with over 130 appearances for the former African Champions.
