PSL exco to meet next week on latest stadium regulations

The Premier Soccer League executive committee is set to meet on Monday, 28 March to deliberate on the latest amendments in terms of covid-19 regulations that affect gatherings.

In a national address on Tuesday evening, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that both indoor and outdoor gatherings are permitted at up to 50% of capacity provided proof of vaccination or a Covid test of not older than 72 hours is shown.

This comes as a relief for football supporters who have not been able to watch domestic football live in over two years since the emergence of the pandemic.

FARPost is in possession of a communique sent to the clubs on Wednesday, 23 March indicating that the existing protocols remain in place until varied by the Executive committee.

“The Executive Committee of the League is meeting on Monday 28 2022 to consider the extent to which the League Covid 19 Regulations can or should be adapted. The existing protocols remain in place until varied by the Executive Committee,” read the communique.
