Royal AM will take the game to Sundowns, says Maduka

Royal AM will go on the attack against Mamelodi Sundowns when they clash in the DStv Premiership on Saturday at the Chatsworth Stadium.

Sundowns are already crowned champions with only pride to play for, while the Durban outfit must win to try and finish the season on a high. Royal AM coach John Maduka believes the key to emerging victorious against the champions is to have the right attitude when approaching the match.

He has called upon his charges to concentrate and stay focused the entire match to achieve their season’s objectives. Thwihli Thwahla have all to play for as they are still optimistic about finishing second to secure a place in CAF Champions League next season.

“We must have the right attitude throughout the match. We have to be balanced, take the game to them and not sleep; we cannot afford to sleep because they will punish us. It will be important to focus on the game and concentrate throughout the match to compete and get the result we want,” said Maduka

“This is a different ball game; we played them in a cup game. We did well, but our own mistakes cost us the game.”Maduka is aware that it will be a difficult match; however, he is confident that his troops can cause an upset and emerge victoriously.

“We are looking forward to the game; we know it’s not going to be an easy one. We are playing against a team that just won the league. It’s important to play to the best of our ability because we want to achieve our goal at the end of the season.”

“We will go all out and try by all means to play by the best of our ability and try to win the game. They know what we are capable of; I’m sure they have planned very well, so we have to dig very deep to win.”
