Mauritania include 16-year-old in Afcon squad!!!

Beyatt Lekweiry is set to be the youngest player in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to kick off in a week’s time.

The midfielder from Mauritanian Ligue 1 side AS Douanes recently represented his country at the U20 Arab Cup.

The 16-year-old footballer’s inclusion in Didier Gomes Da Rosa’s 28-man squad took many by surprise.

Meanwhile, Sierra Leone picked 17-year-old goalkeeper Ibrahim Sesay, whereas the 18-year-old Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri was called up by Tunisia.

Mauritania will compete in Group F with Gambia, Tunisia and Mali.
