Stars of Africa graduate Mlungisi Johan Mkhwanazi has penned a one-year deal with an option to extend for another year with Finnish club IFK Mariehamn.
Mkhwanazi, 22, secured the move to Finland after parting ways with GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town All Stars last campaign.
The Veikkausliiga outfit said Mkhwanazi will “join the team on Thursday.”
“He received his studies at the high-class Academy in South Africa, so we expect him to be of a good Finnish league level, said Peter Mattsson, who is IFK’s club director.
“Of course, we give him some time to get inside our way of playing and the team, but we believe that IFK is a good environment for Johan to continue to develop as a player.”
