Mlambo Royal Cubs part ways with head coach

Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League outfit Mlambo Royal Cubs have sacked their head coach, Humphrey Mlwane.

The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder managed to win six games, drew three and lost four ever since he took over the coaching reigns at the club this season.

“Our head coach is no longer with our team. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” said the Nkomazi-based side in a statement.

“The assistant coach Sam will lead the club in the last three remaining league games.”

Mlambo are currently placed fifth in Stream A of the Provincial ABC League with 21 points from 13 outings.

‘Emawundlu Enkosi’, as they are popularly known, are eight points behind stream leaders Secunda M Stars and still stand a chance to climb up the table.

The club’s next fixture will be against Witbank Shepard FC on Saturday, 5 March at Embuzini Stadium with the kick-off set for 15:00 in the afternoon.
