Mourinho vows to stay at Roma despite PSG links

AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho remains committed to the project at the club despite Paris Saint-Germain’s interest.

This is after PSG are reportedly considering a shock move for the Portuguese mentor in their managerial search.

The Parisians are expected to part ways with their head coach Mauricio Pochettino following the inconsistent run in the 2021/22 season.

Mourinho has two years left on his contract with Roma, having joined them in May 2021.

The 59-year-old coach is already planning for the future with Roma and has insisted that he will be ready to go to the next step when the new season arrives.

“I have been at Roma for 11 months, and I realised the moment I arrived what it meant for me. I’m going to turn down any proposal. I will stay here at Roma even if there are rumours. We made history by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League. I have no doubts I will continue as Roma manager,” said the former Manchester United manager.

Meanwhile, Roma are also prepared to back Mourinho on the transfer strategies ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
