New Marumo coach shares thoughts on the squad he inherits

Romain Folz was officially unveiled as the Marumo Gallants head coach during a media briefing held in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old takes over from Dan Malesela who had a successful stint last season but was surprisingly allowed to go.

The former Township Rollers mentor says he has no mandate from the club’s management but is optimistic of a successful stint at the Limpopo side.

“It’s a squad with good qualities I think some additions might be welcomed to give more strength,” Folz told the media.

“But I think with the squad that is there now and as it was during the first season is good in itself already but we can welcome some few additions and it’s going to make it even better,” explained Folz.

“We will try to do our best, I am not the one to tell you, we are going to finish at this or the other position but I am the one who is going to tell you that we going to play every game to the best performance possible and try to aim for the best possible position at the end of the season.”
