Southampton have tied down one of their valuable young players.
19-year-old midfielder Kgaogelo Chauke has penned a new and improved deal with the Premier League outfit although he still had a year left on his initial deal at the club.
Chauke joined the Saints from Thatcham United in June 2017 before signing his first professional contract with the club in January 2021.
The dynamic anchor has made 53 appearances for the club’s development squads and coach Ralph Hasenhuttl gave handed him his first team debut in a FA Cup victory against Shrewsbury Town last season.
Born in Pretoria, the youngster grew up in England after moving abroad with his parents when he was a child.
