SAFA president to address Bafana coach on Media comments

South African Football Association (SAFA) president Dr Danny Jordaan insists some of the issues addressed by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos need to be addressed in-house.

Broos has been widely criticised by the local football fraternity for his outspoken character, often badmouthing football authorities including SAFA.

The latest tirade saw the Belgian mentor labelling the PSL as a weak league which he cited as the reason for lack of progress by the national team

Speaking exclusively to FARPost on the sidelines of the ABC Motsepe League national playoffs at the North West University in Potchefstroom, North West on Tuesday, Jordaan said he will meet with the Bafana mentor to iron out his concerns.

“I will sit down and talk to him (Hugo Broos) about it (Media comments),” said Jordaan.

“Because it’s important that these matters are dealt with organisationally and that is what we will do.

“I cannot comment on details because I was here and of course, that press conference was in Johannesburg. That’s why I say I am not in a position to comment on things that I have not heard or seen,” he said.

“But I will engage him on this matter.”
